Measures Introduced: Eight bills and three resolutions were introduced,
as follows: S. 528-535, S.J. Res. 32-33, and S. Res. 81.
Federal Acquisition Regulation Rule: By 49 yeas to 48 nays (Vote No.
81), Senate passed H.J. Res. 37, disapproving the rule submitted by the
Department of Defense, the General Services Administration, and the
National Aeronautics and Space Administration relating to the Federal
Federal Land Policy and Management Act Rule--Agreement: Senate began
consideration of H.J. Res. 44, disapproving the rule submitted by the
Department of the Interior relating to Bureau of Land Management
regulations that establish the procedures used to prepare, revise, or
amend land use plans pursuant to the Federal Land Policy and Management
Act of 1976, after agreeing to the motion to proceed.
A unanimous-consent-time agreement was reached providing for further
consideration of the joint resolution at approximately 10 a.m., on
Tuesday, March 7, 2017; and that there be eight hours of debate
remaining on the joint resolution, equally divided in the usual form.
Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe (Helsinki): The
Chair, on behalf of the Vice President, pursuant to Public Law 94-304,
as amended by Public Law 99-7, appointed the following Senators as
members of the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe
(Helsinki) during the 115th Congress: Senators Boozman, Rubio, and
Nomination Received: Senate received the following nomination:
1 Army nomination in the rank of general.
