HIGH CONSEQUENCES AND UNCERTAIN THREATS: REVIEWING DEPARTMENT OF

Committee on Armed Services: Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and
Capabilities held a hearing entitled “High Consequences and Uncertain
Threats: Reviewing Department of Defense Strategy, Policy, and Programs
for Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction for Fiscal Year 2018”.
Testimony was heard from Shari Durand, Acting Director, Defense Threat
Reduction Agency; Arthur T. Hopkins, Acting Assistant Secretary,
Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Defense Programs; and Peter Verga,
performing the duties of Assistant Secretary of Defense, Homeland
Defense and Global Security.
Committee on the Judiciary: Subcommittee on Regulatory Reform,
Commercial and Antitrust Law held a hearing on H.R. 1667, the
“Financial Institution Bankruptcy Act of 2017”. Testimony was heard
from Mary Walrath, Bankruptcy Judge, District of Delaware; and public

Committee on Oversight and Government Reform: Full Committee held a
hearing entitled “Legislative Proposals for Fostering Transparency”.
