  Shanahan Nomination--Agreement: Senate resumed consideration of the 
nomination of Patrick M. Shanahan, of Washington, to be Deputy 
Secretary of Defense.

  By 88 yeas to 6 nays (Vote No. 161), Senate agreed to the motion to 
close further debate on the nomination.
