nomination of James C. Ho, of Texas, to be United States Circuit Judge 
for the Fifth Circuit, post-cloture.

  During consideration of this nomination today, Senate also took the 
following action:
  By 53 yeas to 44 nays (Vote No. 316), Senate agreed to the motion to 
close further debate on the nomination.

consideration of the nomination, post-cloture, at approximately 10 
a.m., on Thursday, December 14, 2017; and that all time during recess,

reached providing that at a time to be determined by the Majority 
Leader, in consultation with the Democratic Leader, Senate begin

the nomination, equally divided in the usual form, and that following 
the use or yielding back of time, Senate vote on confirmation of the 
nomination with no intervening action or debate.

reached providing that at a time to be determined by the Majority 
Leader, in consultation with the Democratic Leader, Senate begin 
consideration of the nomination of J. Paul Compton, Jr., of Alabama, to 
be General Counsel of the Department of Housing and Urban Development; 
that there be 120 minutes of debate on the nomination, equally divided 
in the usual form, and that following the use or yielding back of time, 
Senate vote on confirmation of the nomination with no intervening 
action or debate.
